Some people just love the snow and the cold! Not everyone is so keen on getting sunburned and laying around at the beach.

For those who like to build a snowman and enjoy colder climates or for those who would like to visit certain countries that are north and on the colder side, here are some tips to stay warm, but still enjoy your travels.

Get A Good Blanket

If you watch the Vikings, you should know about these badass looking blankets, or coats. There is a reason why nordic countries wear thick and heavy coats with pelts, and fur throws and blankets around them. It's cold there! However, these will help you keep warm and cozy.

When you are not wearing them out, or if you prefer not to wear them outside, you can cuddle with them inside your hotel room or home.

Winter Boots

If you don't take care of your feet, you will lose heat a lot more quickly. There are certain brands of winter boots that are specifically made for snow and the cold. Timbalands, North Face, and Everest etc are some good recommended brands if you are looking for sturdy boots that will keep your feet warm and comfy.

Getting A Pair of Goggles

We are not talking about swimming goggles, but winter goggles. If you will be skiing, hiking, and challenging yourself, you must get a pair of winter goggles to protect your eyes. The wind, the cold combined is not a good and pleasant feeling on your face and the eyes.

Your eyes can get really dry in cold climates, but a pair of goggles will help you retain moisture and from damaing your eyes.

Underjackets or compression shirts

Underjackets and compression shorts are not necessarily built for sports and keeping off sweat. They can be used to retain body heat more efficiently. Unlike linen, polyester, and shirts made out of cloth, compression shirts are made out of spandex or other strechy materials that insulate body heat really well.

If you feel a bit uncomfortable wearing skin tight compression shirts, get one size bigger, but still enjoy the benefits!

Handwarmers

If you don't know what handwarmers are, you are missing out. These stuff are amazing! They help your hands and feet remain warm, as the name suggests. The chemicals and compounds produce heat for a few hours once activated and they are small enough to place in your gloves or your shoes.

If you will be skiing or will be exposed to the cold for longer hours, besides just gloves and winter boots, having a few packets of handwarmers can make your trip a little more pleasant.
